Sorry I was silent on here last week. We've had alot going on around here, which I'll hopefully share with you soon. It's huge! (Yeah, I'm pretty vague ;))
Today, I'd thought I'd share our dining room.
Technically it's a dining area vs. a dining room. When we renovated the kitchen 6 years ago, we had a wall knocked down to open up the space.
This window over looks our pool/backyard, although right now it's a pretty sad sight.
I'm a pretty neutral-type-decorator but I've been trying hard to add punches of colour to our home.
I recently picked up a curtain panel at Homesense on clearance for $9.00 and then add the fabric at the top for a punch of colour.
When we moved into this house, the dining area was covered in 27 year old cream coloured carpet. It was dingy, and underpadding was non-existent. We had the hard wood added the day we before we moved our furniture into the house. It was probably one of the best decisions we ever made.
The light fixture came from a store called the "the Lighting Store". lol. The funny part is I had spied a similar fixture at Home Depot for double the price I paid for this one.
The only thing that bugs me about it, is that the .... are textured and it makes it very difficult to dust.
These two prints came from Homesense also. As you can see, it was purchased in my neutral days. But six years later, I still love them.
So there you go... a dining room tour.
So tell me, have you renovated our kitchen/dining area recently? Are you a neutral decorator or do you like colour?
