How to Clean the Fridge Naturally

As I mentioned before, when we were getting the house ready to sell, I cleaned all my appliances.  Although, we excluded the appliances from the listing, if the price was right we knew they were negotiable.

I showed you here how I cleaned my stove and oven, and now I'd like to share how I cleaned the fridge.

I try to wipe down the fridge every time I go grocery shopping.
But a really good deep clean happens less often.

So I started by emptying the fridge of all it's contents.  The job is better done just before you go shopping, because technically you should have less food in it.  At this point, I usually make a list of things I need to replenish, and toss the items that are expired.

This time when I took all the shelves and drawers out of the fridge,
I had quite the surprise waiting for me at the bottom.

Ewwww!!!

I honestly have NO IDEA what that is! Pasta sauce?!? Tomatoe Juice?!? Vegetable juice?!
AND, I have no idea how long it had been there!!
Thanks family!! >:(

At this point I may or may not have cursed (in Portuguese) and gagged a little.

So once I was done with my gagging, I grabbed my favourite cleaner.

I used the degreaser formula (1 1/2 tsp + 16oz of water)

It's ultra concentrated!
It's Non-toxic! It's Natural!
Versatile and powerful cleaner – removes dirt, grease, and grime from
any washable surface, inside and out.
Dilute according to directions (read below).

No rinse, no residue, streak-free formula.

This stuff Rocks!

So I sprayed the entire surface with it and let it sit for a bit,
while I cleaned the shelves and drawers in the sink.

Here's another before and after of that mystery sauce at the bottom of the fridge.

So much better right?

Here it is now, full of yummy food for my family.

So tell me how often do you clean out your fridge? And do you ever find surprises at the bottom?
