Mudroom Update - Bench cushion

When I completed my mudroom overhaul a couple of months ago, one thing that I never got around to doing was adding a cushion to the seat.

So, when it was time to put the house on the market, I knew I needed to do something about that.  I had no time/energy/desire to sew a cushion cover, so I went shopping.  I checked two stores and luckily I found one quickly at our local Loblaws (grocery store).  It's an outdoor cushion, so I knew it would be easier to keep clean, especially since my children like to put their shoes on with their shoes on the bench.

So here is what the room looked like before:

And here is the after:

A little close up of the fabric.  The cushion cost me $24.99 and I love the colours.

I think it will hide dirt better.  ;)

It was just the little extra somethin-somethin the room needed to add pizzazz.  I probably couldn't have made it for less than twenty dollars, so I'm glad I took the lazy route and bought it.

What do you think? Did I do good? Have you taken the lazy route lately with a purchase? Or am I the only one?
