I'm bringing Shaklee back... yep! (and a Giveaway)

Giveaway is now closed!

So do you have Justin Timberlake singing in your head now?  (your welcome ;) )

For those of you who were Google followers from my Frugal Mom x3 days, you will know that I have been happily using and distributing Shaklee products since 2010.

For those who are new, welcome and here is a refresher! ;)

The Shaklee Mission

Our mission at Shaklee is to provide a healthier life for everyone and a better life for anyone. We do it by making natural products that are so exceptional, you just have to tell your friends.

When you pick Shaklee, you will know three things to be true.
It is always safe.
It always works.
And it is always green.

1. Always safe.

We guarantee unconditional safety.

We start with nature. Shaklee scientists search the world over to source the finest natural ingredients. Then we conduct over 350 testson every single new botanical ingredient for heavy metals, pesticides, or any of hundreds of other harmful contaminants. And we continue to conduct over 80,000quality tests annually to guarantee the purity and safety of each and every product.

That's why we are absolutely sure of this: Every Shaklee product is100% safe to use. Guaranteed.

We Guarantee Unconditional Safety:

2. Always works.

We guarantee utmost effectiveness.

Plenty of companies claim their products work. But at Shaklee, we have proof. You see it in the over 100 scientific papers, 90 of them published in peer-reviewed journals, that prove the effectiveness of Shaklee products. You see it in the over $250 million invested in clinical testing, research, and development. And you see it in the2007 Landmark Study conducted in collaboration with researchers from the U.C. Berkeley School of Public Health that showed that people who took Shaklee supplements had markedly better health than those who took a single multivitamin or no supplements at all.

And the most enlightening proof of all is in the millions of real people who have lived healthier, more productive lives because of Shaklee. Before any Shaklee product reaches your hand, we’ve done the hard work to make sure it does what we say it does.

3. Always green.

We lead the environmental movement by example.

Dr. Forrest C. Shaklee founded our company on the principle of Living in Harmony with Nature®. That was over half a century ago, and we continue to lead by example.

We were the first company in the world to be Climate Neutral™ certified to totally offset our carbon emissions resulting in a net-zero impact on the environment. Our corporate world headquarters is award-winning for its environmental design.

Through the sale of Shaklee Get Clean® Basic H2® in the last year alone, Shaklee has eliminated 2.7 billion bottles of conventional, ready-to-use 26-ounce window cleaner — if placed end-to-end, these bottles would wrap around the earth more than 18 times!

I'm dreaming again... Bedrooms this time.

Oh, it's been a yucky weekend. Anthony, Haley and I have come down with a virus that has wiped all my energy this weekend. Add in a cute little puppy, my plans for the weekend went out the window. And we're still working on feeling better. And it's been so cold in these parts and having to let the pup out every two hours is like sending icicles through my veins. Sigh

So since I spent so much time in bed (or checking on my patients in bed), my mind started wandering and then searching the Internet for bedroom ideas. This another item on my House Project List that absolutely needs to get done THIS YEAR! Why is this the last room to get always get finished?

The Deets on the Mudroom

I've received a couple of questions on my Mudroom/Laundry reno, and I thought I'd answer them all in one post.

Here's the good, the bad and the ugly. I've included a source list at the bottom for some of the other items that I'm sure you were dying to know about. :)

I've been Featured - Better After

pssst.... you can find more details here.

Hey!

Lyndsey over at Better After is featuring my Mudroom today!  You should check her out. Everyday she features some really talented ladies on her blog.

If you are hopping over here from Better After...

Welcome.

And please say hello in the comments!

Bette

Patience is not my middle name... but this time it paid!

Hey there!

How was your weekend? We had a busy weekend as usual. Hockey game for Anthony on the full ice rink (he scored twice! whoohoo). Farmers market for Haley and I. I think we finally found an all natural cream for her eczema (i hope). And we got a whole lot of projects taken care around the house. It was one of those weekends. Plus, I'm really hoping to announce big news soon, but I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much.

Today, I'd thought I'd share our Living Room.

Main Bathroom Makeover - Before and After

Pssst... I've linked up at Classy Clutter: Saturday Spotlight and Tidy Mom and Thrifty Decor Chick

Do you remember the House Project list? Well I think it's high time I fill you in on the things that have been done so far... room-by-room. I sure hope you don't mind...

So, one of the many things on that list was the Main Bathroom (a.k.a the kids bathroom).

Mirror, Mirror on the wall...

Hi all!

Thank you all so  much for the love on the mudroom reno.  I'm pretty happy with how it turned out, considering my limited woodworking experience. I'm already looking around to see what else I can build. ;)

Yesterday, hubby and I went to Teppermans, a local furniture store, to check out their Clearance section.  We were looking for a bed frame for Haley's room, since her garage sale $5 bed fell apart. While I was walking around I came across an area with a bunch of huge mirrors with a sign above them that said $47. There was a sales guy near by and he quickly came by and said "ignore the sign". All of the sudden  he had me intrigued and I asked "why? How much are they?" He says "$10!".  At this point, I think I sprinted across the room to get hubby to tell him to forget the bedframe, we were getting a mirror instead. I'll let you figure out what his response was... but in the end , we got the bedframe AND the mirror... that we did not need, by the way... nor did I know where I was placing it, by the way.

Once I got home I quickly got to work, trying to figure out where to put it... and justify my purchase.

Well, we have this spot in our living room that had a mirror over a console/sideboard, but I've always thought the mirror was too small for the space.  And it bugged me.

The Mudroom is done!

pssst.... you can find more details here.

Hi ya  peeps!

So are you ready for it?  All three of you that have been waiting with bated breath?

As I've promised you a meeeelllion times before, I present to you the much awaited, much anticipated Mudroom (and laundry room too) .

I've been talking about this mudroom for almost a year  now; although, I'm pretty sure I've been dreaming about it for a lot longer than that.

This is what I started with...
Happy New Year! Yeah I know it's 7 days into the month, but with the kids back in school today, it's a brand new year for me... today!
As I've overshared mentioned before, 2012 was not the best year for us, either financially, mentally or health wise. I'm looking forward to 2013 and better things to come.
Ok... let's look back at what my House Projec list looked like last January:
