This week, I'd like to introduce you to Aniko from Place of My Taste.

My name is Aniko and I blog at Place of my Taste. I am a wife, mother of 2, business owner, design lover, crazy coffee drinker and a photographer. I moved to the states about 11 years ago from Hungary. I work in our family business "part time" which actually ends up being full time most days. In my little bitty spare time I love to create, decorate, DIY and photograph all of that.

What Inspired you to start Blogging?

Couple of years ago when my friend invited me to join Pinterest { I am so thankful she did😊} I found lots of great blogs that inspired me so much.{ To name a few: I heart organizing, Young House Love…love these guys} If you would have asked me 2 years ago what a blog was, my answer would have been “I have no idea”. I clicked through Pins on Pinterest and I found myself lost for hours, reading blogs. That’s when I knew that I am one of them or at least I felt that I have to open this outlet for my crazy creativity. I remember being maybe 8 yrs old when I first redecorated my room. Gosh…I loved it and my love for design and beautiful has never stopped ever since. You always find me digging into some sort of project around the house. Thankfully  my hubby is a great partner for all this as he loves DIY as well.

What is your favourite post and why?

Gosh…good question. Umm…I think my very favourite post is my Entry Way Update. I DIY'd lots of small projects in my Entry Way and until this day this is one of my favorite part of my house. I love the colors, I love that this small space is well used and very functional for our crazy every day living.

D.I.Y  or hire out?

Absolutely DIY!

Are you an early bird or night owl?

I honesty have days when I can not be either one. But if I have to choose I rather stay up late than get up early. My older son usually wakes with me in the morning and he needs mommy's attention. Sometimes I leave stuff to finish in the morning but that never works.☹

Your going on an exciting vacation… where would you go… what would you bring?

I would go to a small tropical ISLAND and I would only bring my family, my tote bag and my flip-flaps.I would definitely leave every electronic device behind. It’s so said that these days it looks like we can not live without our smart phones.

What has been your biggest challenge in blogging so Far?

Balance my crazy life with blogging. I often find myself stressed  because I could not finish a post or a project or I have not been linking up all week. Seriously, I find it very overwhelming sometimes. Not blogging full time but look like a blogger who does blog full time is pretty hard.   Sometimes my body and brain tells me: ENOUGH and that’s when I step back and I choose to get 8 hours sleep instead of finishing up a post.

What excites you the most about blogging?

When I create something extra and YOU all give me your sweet feedback. That makes me happy and keep me going.

Any advice for newbie bloggers? 3 tips to make blogging easier?

Umm…newbies!
  1. My first and most important tip is :Balance-balance-balance! Find the balance between your everyday life and your sweet little blog. Your blog could take over your whole life and don't let that happen.
  2. Do not compare yourself to other, more experienced bloggers. Everyone of us is special and unique. Blogland is huge and could be very overwhelming. Grow and learn in your own pace, everyone started exactly where you are now.I still have a LOT to learn:-).
  3. Love what you are doing and be authentic!

Thank you so  much Bette for inviting me to do the interview and thanks so much for reading Everyone!
