Losing it and Winning!- Week 4


As I mentioned last week, this weight loss competition has overtaken my life. This week as I was about to leave for the gym on Tuesday, and then I received a call from the two schools that both Anthony and Haley were ill and needed to be picked up.  Of course that threw a wrench in my plans and I had to modify my week's plans to make sure I got my workouts in and also take care of my babies.


This week, I was determined to get the workouts in and put in some extra running.  One thing that I did was also switch my workouts from 9:30 in the morning to later in the day.  In the previous weeks, I would drop off the kids at school and then quickly scooted to the gym for the 9:30 HIIT class.  Then afterward I would run or do personal workout for another hour or so. I was finding that by 10:30, I was losing steam and really hungry, since I have my first meal at 7 in the morning and technically should be having my morning snack by 10-10:30.  So this week, I changed and saw a huge change in my effort for the workouts. I'm still having my breakfast by 7, dropping kids by 9, walking the dog for about 45 minutes and then coming home and having my morning snack (usually a protein shake). I then, do a few chores around the house (clean, prepare meals, laundry), and I leave for the gym by 10:50, so that I get my run in by 11 before the start of HIIT class at 12.  Doing my run before the HIIT class loosened my muscles and gave me few minutes to stretch before class started. I'm still hungry right after the class ends at 1 pm, but then I'm done my work-out and I can go home and eat. I think I will sticking to this schedule from now.


Here are my measurements as of  Sunday, June 1, 2014:

Weight:  158.1 lbs
Bust: 39" 
Waist: 34 1/2" 
Butt:  39"

This week my waist went down 1 1/2" off my waist, and my weight went down 2.1 lbs. I seem to be consistent in losing a couple of pounds every week, which I'm happy with. I really wanted to have a greater weight loss, but I have to think positively as my body is still adjusting. I'm down a total 14.2 lbs in the past month. 

Here are my original starting weight and measurements as of Sunday, May 4, 2014:

Weight:  172.3 lbs
Bust: 41 1/2"
Waist: 39 1/4"
Butt:  40"


Last week I did HIIT classes Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. I also ran on treadmill on Monday for 1.3 miles, Wednesday for 2miles and Thursday 2.5 miles and Friday for 3.75 miles.  Other than doing some personal workouts that the trainer asks us to do, I feel like I gave it a 100% on all the days.  I wanted to workout on the Saturday, but the day got away from me as I have to prepare for Anthony's First Communion celebration (pics coming later this week.)

This coming week, our menu plan change and we are allowed to have "healthy fats". I'm really excited, because we have more meal options! Avocados! yummy

 I have 8 weeks left! Hopefully next week, I will show you some progress pics.
